Norsk Spesialolje AS has laboratories in Bamble (Rafnes) and in Moss (Årvoll). The laboratories function as operational laboratories and are mainly conducting analysis for incoming inspection. In addition, the laboratory does assignments/projects for external clients.

The commercial laboratory business with accredited commissioned laboratory, according to EN ISO-17025, is moved from Moss (Kambo) to the plant in Bamble from the 1st of October 2019.

Norsk Spesialolje has its own operating laboratory to ensure that the quality of both incoming and outgoing waste is controlled. The laboratory is accredited (Test 027) from Norsk Akkreditering (Norwegian Accreditation) according to NS-EN ISO/IEC. The accreditation concerns chemical analysis of waste oil for certain parameters. The laboratory is approved by Miljødirektoratet to perform quality analysis in connection with the reimbursement scheme for waste oil.

The laboratory conducts analysis for both private and state clients, specializing in waste oil and environmental analysis. The objective of the NSO Laboratory is to provide the clients with results of the analysis within 2 working days. Certain cases require a longer lead time due to e.g. the size or the uniqueness of the task.

 

The laboratory is accredited for the following analysis: water content, flash point, total halogen (TX), total organic halogen (TOX), sulphur and PCB. 

 

Analysis conducted for which the laboratory is not accredited includes: lead, calorific value, density, viscosity and ashes.
